{"id":2260,"date":"2023-08-17T16:18:03","date_gmt":"2023-08-17T19:18:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/almamateredu.com.br\/?p=2260"},"modified":"2023-08-17T16:18:03","modified_gmt":"2023-08-17T19:18:03","slug":"novos-prompts-de-redacao-para-o-common-app-2023-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/almamateredu.com.br\/en\/novos-prompts-de-redacao-para-o-common-app-2023-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Novos prompts de reda\u00e7\u00e3o para o Common App 2023-2024: prepare-se para respond\u00ea-los"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No dia 1\u00ba de agosto foi aberto o portal <em>Common Application<\/em>, possibilitando que os alunos iniciem o processo de inscri\u00e7\u00e3o nas universidades de sua escolha nos EUA.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c9 prov\u00e1vel que muitos alunos j\u00e1 tenham come\u00e7ado a escrever algumas, sen\u00e3o muitas, das reda\u00e7\u00f5es exigidas pelas universidades, pois havia temas que n\u00e3o eram trocados h\u00e1 anos e at\u00e9 d\u00e9cadas. Entretanto, sabemos que os temas e enunciados dos <em>supplemental essays<\/em> podem mudar de ano para ano, mas este ano vimos uma taxa de mudan\u00e7a muito maior do que o normal. Por qu\u00ea?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Principais motivos para as mudan\u00e7as nos temas e enunciados das reda\u00e7\u00f5es<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Na nossa opini\u00e3o, tais mudan\u00e7as se devem a dois motivos principais, sendo o primeiro pautado pelo <em>Supreme Court<\/em>. Em junho deste ano, a Suprema Corte dos EUA decidiu que as pol\u00edticas de admiss\u00e3o com consci\u00eancia racial eram ilegais, impedindo que a\u00e7\u00f5es afirmativas (<em>affirmative action<\/em>) fossem tomadas por universidades para encorajar matr\u00edculas de estudantes de grupos menos representados.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Como essa pr\u00e1tica, que teve sua origem em 1965, se tornou ilegal, as faculdades precisaram encontrar novas maneiras de garantir que seus campus permane\u00e7am diversificados, e que os candidatos de minorias n\u00e3o sejam dissuadidos de se inscrever. As reda\u00e7\u00f5es (<em>supplemental essays<\/em>) deste ano, portanto, muitas vezes t\u00eam um toque mais pessoal e de identidade, pedindo aos alunos que descrevam seu lugar dentro de uma comunidade, por exemplo. Isso permite que o candidato tenha um espa\u00e7o garantido para destacar como quest\u00f5es de discrimina\u00e7\u00e3o afetaram suas vidas, entre outras etapas de suas jornadas, e permite que a universidade continue tendo um senso do grupo social de cada candidato por meio dos textos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O segundo motivo \u00e9 o avan\u00e7o da intelig\u00eancia artificial. Este ano, vimos uma grande redu\u00e7\u00e3o nos <em>&#8216;Why Essays<\/em>&#8216;, a cl\u00e1ssica reda\u00e7\u00e3o que investiga o verdadeiro interesse dos alunos pela institui\u00e7\u00e3o. Neste caso, as universidades foram influenciadas pela dissemina\u00e7\u00e3o dos <em>chatbots <\/em>de IA, como o ChatGPT.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Isso porque o ChatGPT n\u00e3o consegue descrever um desafio pessoal superado por um indiv\u00edduo, mas ele tem certa capacidade de tentar compor argumentos sobre por que algu\u00e9m gostaria de estudar Economia na NYU. Embora os chatbots ainda n\u00e3o consigam escrever reda\u00e7\u00f5es de alto n\u00edvel, as universidades est\u00e3o se precavendo contra essa possibilidade.
